Passa Tempo Food Bar, Gerani, Chania, Crete

So having passed Passa Tempo in Gerani on numerous occasions saying we should call in today was the day.
We enjoyed a stroll from our house to the food bar and were not disappointed. It's a nice modern bar restaurant with an internal separated children's play area and high chairs for the younger clientele. Their new menu which is currently being delivered door to door commences on Friday 9 February and Passa Tempo deliver free of charge between 08:00 and 23:00.
The new menu consists of omelettes, sandwiches, salads, starters, burgers, pizzas, pasta and risotto, main courses with choice of two side dishes, desserts, a wider range of beverages, soft drinks and juices, beers and house wines.
Today we had a filter coffee and a small carafe of house wine. The filter coffee was a nice mug-full and hot, whilst the house white was very palatable indeed. To eat we had an omelette sandwich and a chicken caesar sandwich. The sandwiches can be served on a choice of ciabatta or panini; we both choose ciabatta which were slightly warm.
They were both huge and if all you want at lunchtime is a sandwich you are must certainly not going to go home hungry.
We will definitely return and wish to try it again one evening. They have regular music evenings when singers appear live and looking at the pictures of these events on their Facebook page I think it would be well to book a table.
The cost of lunch for one coffee a small carafe of house white and two sandwiches was €14.50 which we were not disappointed with.
