O Gero Tseykas Fish Taverna and Theaseas Cocktail Bar, Kissamos Old Harbour, Kissamos

Last night we visited the Fish Taverna on Kissamos old harbour. A delightful long established family run restaurant on the water front in the pretty harbour. We were seated on the water's edge with small boats pulling up and fish swimming just below us.

The taverna specialises in fresh fish but also appetizers, salads and meat dishes.

Myself and hubby had swordfish, one of our friends had moussaka and salad and or other friend chicken souvlaki which was washed down with a very nice house red and a few Greek beers.

At the end of the meal we were served with a complimentary lemon dessert which was consumed via a straw. It was delicious.

PROS
Beautiful water front taverna
Delicious fresh food
One of the best moussaka I have tasted - so light and fluffy Reasonable price
CONS
The only criticism I can think of is the tables on the water front are a tad close to each other and i say this because it's the only criticism I can think of.
After our meal we walked a few feet from the taverna to a new cocktail bar (Theaseas) which I understand is also owned by the taverna.

In contrast to the taverna the cocktail bar which is also on the harbour is very modern. The cocktail list is different to any other cocktails.
My cocktail was a spicy concoction. I am not sure what alcohol was in it but it was topped with half a lime which contained a blend of spices and a red chilli. Perfect for my taste buds.

PROS
Again a beautiful waterfront setting
Modern design with pleasant music in the background
Reasonably priced cocktails
A lovely way to finish the night off
A stone's throw from the Fish taverna

CONS
Don't expect to find the standard list of cocktails - don't think that is really a con though.
They are a bit more up market
